Tom Scherrer is a Skaneateles High School and University of North Carolina graduatate, and champion PGA Tour golfer. Tom captained the Skaneateles’ HIgh School state championship hockey team; won the prestigious North & South Amateur Golf Tournament in 1990 and was a member of the winning U.S. Walker Cup team in 1991. He placed 4th in 1991 NCAA Golf Championship; was runner-up (to Justin Leonard) in 1992 in the U.S. Amateur; won PGA’s Kemper Open in 2000 shooting 13-under par; and won 3 times on the Nike/Nationwide (now Web.com) tour. He has  over $4 million in professional earnings and was in the top 25 in the U.S. Open (1999) and Master’s (2001).
